Guidelines
The following guidelines can assist you in arranging interviews, video taping, or photo opportunities:
-
Call the Public Affairs Office at (906) 774-3300, ext 32001 for initial inquiries and to arrange all interviews, including those at the community-based outpatient clinics. Use any of the above contact information. The PAO will respond as quickly as possible.
-
Advance notice of on-site interviews is necessary so staff can arrange locations for media interviews or photo shoots and line up appropriate sources for your story.
-
A PA staff member must accompany all reporters, film crews and photographers while at the VA Medical Center. The main priority is patient privacy and adherence to HIPPA regulations. The desire is to make sure media personnel get the information they are looking for and to coordinate shoot locations and ensure interviews go smoothly.
