Psychology Internship Program

The predoctoral internship at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center is not yet accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the American Psychological Association. An application for accreditation is in process, and a site visit expected in 2015.

The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center Psychology Training Program offers internships to U.S. citizens who are pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited institution. To be considered, students must demonstrate completion of at least three years of graduate course work and a minimum of 500 direct contact hours in assessment and intervention. Applicants must be certified as ready for internship by their Director of Training.
